CNC Minifile can operate stand-alone and in a DNC Network environment

CNC Minifile or Greco Box is a part program loader for CNC machine tools and often used as a stand-alone drip feed device.  The unit uses Microsoft Windows compatible floppy diskettes or built-in RAM disk to store part programs and allows the machine tool to execute programs in real time.

Designed and engineered specifically for use in the machine shop environment, the portable CNC Minifile can be easily carried between the CAD/CAM or NC programming station and machine tools. A single portable device can be used to load part programs on machine tools throughout the shop floor.

MULTITASKING

The CNC Minifile runs under a multitasking operating system. This allows the user to run a job on a machine tool and at the same time the programmer can quickly transfer NC programs even while another program is being loaded to the control. No more waiting and idle time.

SUPPORTS VIRTUALLY ANY MACHINE TOOL

Thousands of punched tape reader/control combinations have been successfully interfaced with using both the Behind-the-Reader or BTR (parallel) and serial communications supported by CNC Minifile. LOW COST MEMORY EXPANSION

Machine controls capable of either funning directly off punched tape or through the RS-232C port in DNC mode can operate directly from CNC Minifile floppy or RAM disk.  A single program can be up to 12,000 feet of paper tape without having to segment the part program.
