Serial Direct Connect
A Direct Connect is when you connect from a serial port on a PC directly to a serial port on a control, with no other special hardware. Most PC's come with one or two RS-232 serial ports. If you only need to connect one or two compatible controls to that computer, you don't need anything else. Where more controls are to be served by a single computer, additional ports are needed, and we can provide add-in boards that supply those additional serial ports. |
